Dogs bark.

Cats meow.

Fish swim.

Birds fly.

Other than a few exceptions, this is how the world works.

If you try to get your cat to bark, you’re going to expend a lot of energy and be very disappointed.

If you’re the “cat” and someone is trying to get you to “bark,” you’re not going to be very happy about it.

If you’re the cat and you feel bad or even ashamed that you can’t bark, as if something is “wrong” with you, this is a sure path to self-esteem problems.

The world is a lot more peaceful and satisfying if you stop trying to make cats bark.

You’ll have greater inner peace if you stop feeling bad that you’re a cat who can’t bark. A part of inner peace comes from accepting who you are and celebrating who you are.

Some things are simple (although not always easy).
