If you’re looking for a quick 80/20 rule on how to be happier in your life within 7 days, then do the following:
1) Wake up in the morning and think of 3 things that you are grateful for
2) Before you go to bed, think of 3 things you are grateful for
Do this for 7 days in a row and you will feel at least 10% happier.
Try it, and post your results in the comments below.
(I will explain why this works in a later article. For now, just consider trying it. Some things you can only learn by doing, not by reading about it. This is one of those things.)

No effect whatsoever. I have tried this before. No effect of any kind.
Hi Victor,
I have three points quickly popped up in my head thanks to my previous case interview training. I haven’t done this before sleep because I tend to meditate around that time – which means think of absolute nothing. But I did remind myself of the 3 things every morning on my way to work. It helped me starting the day better.
Thank you for all the wisdoms and I am looking forward to your future emails.
Best,
Joy
